Honoring the “spot beacons” Sponsored by ariji, Solh and Baalbek municipality

The Lebanese Association for coexistence and Development in collaboration with LAU UNESCO Club cordially invites you to attend the Honoring Ceremony entitled ” منارات بقاعية ” sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Alwaleed Bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation and Baalbeck Municipality.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of culture represented by Minister Roni Arigi, the Alwaleed bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation represented by former minister Laila Solh Hamada and the municipality of Baalbek represented by its president Dr. Hamad Hassan, the Lebanese Association for coexistence and development, in cooperation with the UNESCO club at the Lebanese American University LAU, held a ceremony honoring “Bekaa beacons” in the presence of President Hussein al-Husseini, deputy Emile Rahma, former Minister Nicola sahnawi, chairman of the Baalbek Festivals Committee Nayla du Freij, Dr. Hussein Hassan, Mohammed Solh and a number of political, artistic and religious figures.
The ceremony was organized on the stage of Irwin Hall at the Lebanese American University LAU in Beirut, and it is a tribute to a number of Lebanese of Bekaa Origins for their successes and excellence in their work, namely: the patron of the Diocese of Beirut and Byblos and their followers of the Roman Catholic community, Bishop Kyrillos Salim Busters, poet Talal Haider, to whom the shield was presented by MP Emile Rahma, Professor Mohammed Sawan, to whom the shield was presented by the mayor of Baalbek, Dr. Hamad Hassan, and the late Zakaria Solh (Abu Yahya shield Mohamed Salah.
In a speech by Dr. Hussein Hassan, he said:” the “Bekaa Manarat” reflects the light of the city of the sun and the flood of the good plain, as well as highlights the face of our culture and heritage. At our ceremony, we honor symbols in dialogue, poetry, science and heritage, carefully chosen names to remind the world that the Bekaa and Baalbek are full of human energies that enrich humanity.
Then documentaries about the four honorees were shown and speeches were given at the event.
In a speech to Mrs. Solh, she said: “it is an honor for me to honor this evening His Eminence Bishop Kyrillos Salim bistras, and it is also an honor for me to be present at this honoring ceremony, which brings together the Sons of the same homeland and the same region, the Dear Bekaa, as we have known it and so we always want it as a model of common living, there is no difference between his sons except loyalty to the homeland . That’s how my husband Majid Sabri Hamada wanted him and that’s how he recommended me.
She added, Our Lord, no country is more worthy of you than a country, the good of the country is what carried you to your beloved bottom, the bottom of deprivation and the constant accusation. Then I handed him The Shield of appreciation.
“To live together in peace and security, we must not look at each other from the point of view of our different religious canons, not from the point of view of the majority and minority, but from the point of view that we are all believers in one God and citizens of the same Homeland, equal in rights and duties . No matter how many members of our communities, minorities should not seek external protection, but equality is the only way to connect all citizens with each other,”he said.
He concluded that ” our responsibility is shared in the construction of our homelands . We want to provide the East and the West with a model of co-existence between multiple religions and constructive cooperation between various civilizations for the good of our countries,”he said.
